 Lifeguard applications now being accepted for summer 2012 employment

    Pool employment applications are now being accepted. The HVL POA office is now accepting applications for Lifeguards for 2012 summer employment at HVL pool and beach. Applicants must have First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguard Certifications or have a class that they are scheduled to attend.  The pool will open Saturday May 26, 2012 and close September 3, 2012, you must have excellent communication and people skills, be able to multi task and provide safety to the members and guests of the pool and beach. You must also be available to teach swim lessons and work days/evenings, weekends and holidays.  An application may be picked up at the POA office or Click for form

Applications must be received at the POA office by Friday March 16, 2012. The amount of positions available will depend on the number of returning staff. Interviewing for available positions will begin in April.

      If you worked at the pool as a lifeguard in 2011 and wish to be considered for employment this summer you do NOT need to complete another application. You can simply let Angie know you are interested in returning this summer 812-537-3091x8 or aruberg@comcast.net.

Pool - Open Daily – Noon -8:00 pm (weather & patron usage permitting)
To enter the pool you must have your Hidden Valley Lake ID with a barcode and scan it at the front desk.
If you do not have and HVL photo ID or have misplaced it, please stop by the POA office and have a new one made. Id cards may be replaced every 5 years if necessary.  Lost ID cards may be replaced at a cost of $5.00. POA office hours are Monday – Thursday 7:00 am– 6:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am– 4:00 pm
You must me a member in good standing to be granted access to the pool.
Guests: Anyone without an HVL ID will be considered a guest and must pay a guest fee. All residents must have their guests check in with a lifeguard , sign in and pay appropriate guest fees. All guests 12 years old and up must pay $3.00, guests 6 -11 years old must pay $2.00, guest 5 years old  and under will be admitted free. No refunds or rain checks will be issued.

Beach Entry
Beach-Open Daily until 10:00 pm. Lifeguards on duty noon – 6:00 pm (weather & patron usage permitting)
Please stop at the Lifeguard shack and show your Hidden Valley Lake ID. You must be a HVL member in good standing to be granted access to the beach.

All guests over the age of 6 years old must pay $1.00 per day. No refunds or rain checks will be issued.

Rent the Pool  
You can rent the pool from 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm for birthdays, family gathering or team parties. There is a Facility & Staffing Fee charged which depends on the number of lifeguards required.
